OnePlus Nord CE4 Launch on April 1, Coming With Large MicroSD Card Support

OnePlus Nord CE4: Smartphone companies nowadays only provide 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB as built-in storage for their smartphones. Some companies provide 1TB of internal storage, but you must break your bang and tear a hole in your pocket. Gone are the days when smartphone companies used to provide expandable storage through MicroSD cards like the new model OnePlus Nord CE4. There is something wrong with the smartphone industry, as no matter how much money you spend on any smartphone, you are always left with limited storage, which runs out quickly when you take photos and images.

Most people with even 512GB internal storage delete unwanted photos and videos to save space, as many do not know or try out the lower resolution videos and images. Others plug in their devices and remove the videos to HDD or upload them online. However, can you see how not providing options to expand storage leads to chaos? It differs from all the smartphone companies that have stopped offering storage expansion through a memory card but are definitely limited to budget and mid-range models. By choosing these smartphones, you must let go of every other higher-mid range and premium-segment specifications.

OnePlus Nord CE4 is expected to launch at around Rs 30,000 and will have the option to expand internal storage to up to 1TB. That’s refreshing news. It is illogical to offer smartphones without storage expansion. Still, companies do that because they might be thinking about promoting paid online storage or want the customers to buy a variant that offers more storage space. Having 256GB is correct, as it can let you install many applications, but it will be full when you start recording videos or installing more games and apps.

This month, Nothing launched its Nothing Phone 2a, which also left out storage expansion despite having everything good about it in the mid-range segment. Talking about the premium segment, Samsung Galaxy S24 series, OnePlus 12 series, Realme 12 series, including the latest Realme 12 Plus, iQOO 12, iQOO Neo 9 Pro, Xiaomi 14, and many other premium smartphones do not offer MicroSD card support for letting customers expand their storage.

According to India Today, the OnePlus Nord CE4 may launch with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 mobile chipset, 50MP main camera along with 8MP ultrawide, 16MP front camera, and a design similar to the OnePlus Nord CE3. However, this time, the company shared images with a triple camera setup on the back.
